This is to illustrate how you can resize a pattern using the grid method.

Let's assume you get a pattern that looks like this the one above. All you know is, e.g., that the waist width is supposed to be 64. On your printout, it's 16 - that's a fourth of the original size.

So you take a large piece of paper and draw a grid on it - at, say, intervals of 2cm. Overlay your small pattern with a grid - the interval depending on he ratio, of course, in this case a fourth.

Place the small pattern and the empty grid side by side, pick one square of the small pattern, and draw a line into the corresponding square of your large grid. Go on like that, one square at a time, until you've got the whole pattern.
